"DO NOT EAT." That's the warning on the desiccant packets that come in the box with your new shoes, purse, electronics, coffee, and vitamins. The packets contain silica gel, a non-toxic substance that absorbs moisture, preventing mold growth. It won't hurt your child if he swallows some.
